dilemma Jul 26, 2008

Exactly. Do you say Peking Duck, Peking Opera, Peking University, etc., or change all the references of Peking to Beijing?

Canton versus Guangzhou has a similar problem.

How about when people really want to be politically correct, and demand that China needs to be termed Zhongguo?

And remember the dragon and loong debate?

What's a translator to do? Jul 26, 2008

Young Asian-Americans are significantly more Democratic than young whites, who are roughly evenly split between the two major parties. And Asian-Americans of all ages have been trending Democratic for years.

dragon vs. loong Jul 27, 2008

Steve,

Yueyin,

You know ... You say tomato, I say tomahto.

Jul 28, 2008

Steve,

Jul 30, 2008

Yueyin,
