Inglese term
sink for a beat
Da Inglese a Italiano
Arte/Letteratura
Poesia e Prosa
Romanzo americano contemporaneo.
October. He calls me to apologize a few days later. My whole body stiffens at the sound of his voice. He continues cheerfully: he had no right to get so angry with me. Sometimes frustration is just too much and he loses it. Forget about marriage. He’ll find another way. But he wants to keep seeing me. Could I come over for weekend and bring back videos?
As if nothing had happened. *I let it sink for a beat*.

Interpretazione personale:
sink = as in "my heart sinks when..."
beat = heart beat.
Da limare, eventualmente.

Shrew, forse sì, ti conviene chiedere all'autrice.
