Italian term

essere sentito

Italian to English Law/Patents Law (general) bankruptcy order
...
Would an authentic and accurate legal English expression for this be 'have/request an audience', 'speak', 'be heard', 'make its view known', or none of the above?
...
TIA :)

to be heard

I believe that this literal translation is the correct formulation. The court hears arguments from parties, hears witnesses, etc., and so I think it would be coherent to say that the bankrupt party in this instance is also being heard.
