4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks. I think this is the suggestion that would be clearest to English language readers."

Thanks Mihaela! :-)
agree Petja Mladenova : OK, since this is a complex operative unit, I need to add an adjective to my answer in the UOS question

disagree Joseph Tein : A direct translation of the Italian words, but "complex operative units" do not exist in English medical settings... I mean, the phrase is not used. You need to translate the phrase into its common usage in the target language (not just the words).

disagree Lara Barnett : This is non-idiomatic, and risks being misleading due to such unusual word usage/collocation

Unità Operativa Complessa - multiple speciality facility

I think it's something like this - (speciality/specialty)
The MFA physicians serve as the chiefs of service in the University Hospital and staff a growing number of satellite facilities, both single-specialty and multi-specialty, that provide additional sites for teaching and clinical care throughout the Washington suburbs.

I don't know, it is more of a conjecture, and looking into it further, am less clear, but I'm hoping "A Doctor/Un Dottore" can sort it out!
