Consigliere estensore. The difference between the giudice relatore e giudice estensore is a question of before and after a Supreme Court hearing. The guidice relatore or Judge-Repporteur (from ECJ terminology) is responsible for marshalling the arguments of a case and their presentation to the panel of judges before the case is heard (an appeal assessor if you like), while the giudice estensore is reponsible for drafting the written judgment and reasons for judgment when the court has concuded its deliberation and had delivered a decision.
