fleshy pipes

Non-PRO Da Inglese a Italiano Medico/Sanitario Biologia (Biotecnologia, Biochimica, Microbiologia) Galeno
Drawing conclusions from surgeries on wounded
gladiators, as well as vivisection on an array of animals, including
cats, dogs, sheep, and lynx—human
dissections were
banned—Galen
proposed a scheme in which the liver converts
food into blood that, like water
in an irrigation ditch, travels
one way into the body to be absorbed and disappear, never to
be used again. In Galen’s scheme, blood was sucked from the
liver into the right ventricle and passed to the left ventricle
through invisible pores in the wall—the
septum—separating
the two chambers. Once the blood entered the left ventricle,
he believed “vital spirits” were
added to it. The left ventricle
then generated heat like a furnace to circulate the blood through
FLESHY PIPES to the rest of the body.

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

condotti corporei

Credo che fleshy si riferisca al corpo che è fatto di carne. I vasi sanguigni sono anche chiamati condotti sanguigni.
...per far circolare il sangue, attraverso condotti corporei, al resto del fisico.

Conduttura
1.Canale, condotto, tubo, tubatura

Vanno tutti bene secondo me. Poco prima si parla anche di "vital spirits" e "furnace", quindi secondo me ci sta tradurre letteralmente.

Flesh è la carne. Carnoso e carnale li eviterei perché hanno significati diversi. Good Luck! :)
Note from asker:
Grazie ma posso mettere "tubazioni di carne"? :-)

Hai ragione. Ho trovato "canali carnosi" in qualche testo di medicina antica, ma mi suona anche peggio!
