Italiano term

rieducazione al passaggio

Da Italiano a Inglese Medico/Sanitario Medicina (generale) physical therapy
I've seen al passo, but not al passaggio. Written in the physical therapy records of a patient who underwent hip replacement, the physical therapist listed "Ried. al passaggio" as one of his goals. Is this transfer training in English? Thanks!

I believe so - I saw that document, which made me think of transfer training. Unfortunately, my text doesn't give me anything else for context, just listing his goals.

Is that it?

The complete sentence is "rieducazione al passaggio posturale"?

"Passaggio posturale" is often used by Italian physical therapists.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Joseph Tein : Ciao Gilberto! Are you sure about "postural change"? Can you explain what is a "passaggio posturale"? (I have a sentence "Presenti i passaggi posturali" that I need to translate today). Grazie mille.

neutral philgoddard : This reference appears to relate to transferring the patient from one place to another, whereas the one you've given in the discussion entries appears to support Gilberto's idea of postural change. I'm not sure which you mean.

Well if Gilberto agrees, who am I to worry?
