Italiano term

impregnazione contrastografica

Da Italiano a Inglese Medico/Sanitario Medicina (generale) CT scans
This expression is in a CT scan report. The sentence is:

"Focale ispessimento della cupola vescicale con significativa *impregnazione contrastografica* dopo somministrazione di MDC."

I've searched under "impregnation of contrast medium" "contrast medium impregnation" and "contrast impregnation" but find so few examples that I think there must be a more common and frequent way to say this in this context. Does anyone know a more standard expression for this 'impregnazione contrastografica'?

Grazie di nuovo per l'aiuto!

(And 'cupola vescicale' is the cuff of the bladder? It's been answered once before here, but just want to make sure!)

Discussion

SJLD Nov 30, 2009:
apex or dome vertex is old nomenclature
A "cuff" of bladder is a piece of bladder removed along with the ureter - it is not the "cupola"
Joseph Tein (asker) Nov 30, 2009:
cupola vescicale Now I've seen "apex/vertex of the bladder" (thank you Anne), "cuff of the bladder" and just now "dome of the bladder". I think I'll post this as a question.
Anne Schulz Nov 30, 2009:
cupola vescicale is the apex or vertex of the bladder, AFAIK (maybe worth a separate posting)
