The Companies Registry Book [Registro delle Imprese] provides all sort of information about the different companies in Italy and is completed with their balance sheets, deeds and legal documents.
The Companies Registry Book is strictly controlled by the “Judge of the Registry Book” [Giudice del Registro] nominated by the Court of the Province.
Connected to the Registry is the Economic-Administrative Inventory [R.E.A. - Repertorio economico amministrativo], which collects all economic and administrative information concerning companies and associations, engaged in business.
Some legal acts and facts gain importance and a specific value only if subscribed in the register, that is managed by the Chamber of Commerce of all Italians provinces.

Lowish confidence as I'm not sure whether registrations or subscriptions is most appropriate - depends on the type of 'registrazioni' it's referring to.
Usually refers to 'iscrizioni d'ufficio alle mailing list" etc.

: In italy, contracts or, in general, documents of any sort, may be registered "with the state" or not (I'm not talking about cadasto: cadastal registration is mandatory). It costs! So the guys promise not to do it automatically.A fairly common clause.
