Italiano term

non cumulabile

Da Italiano a Inglese Altro Legale: Contratti
As a background, Company A is selling Company B some machinery. Before buying it Company B can test its performance. So there are a number of tests to be carried out during a pre-established time frame. Should the machinery give problems, Company A shall have to fix and "make good" the problem in 30 days.

The paragraph I have a problem with is the following:

Resta inteso che il periodo di fermo macchinario, concesso per l’esecuzione degli interventi di “make good”, è da intendersi non cumulabile e cioè potrà raggiungere al massimo i 30 giorni complessivi".

I know that 'cumulabile' refers to accrual, but I cant fit it into this context.

Thanks !!

non-cumulative

I think what they're saying is that if they find one fault that has to be made good and they give 30 days' grace, if they find another fault the following day they won't allow 60 days' grace (30 for each fault, or whatever) but a maximum of 30.

"on a non-cumulative basis", maybe.

not accruable

means that even if there are 5 problems on that machinery, company A does not have 5 months but still 1.

cannot be spread out

One way of putting it.
It means that all the problems have to be resolved within a total of 30 days

Italiano term (edited): periodo non cumulabile

aggregate period

An idea to prefix the question with period. Besides accrual, there may also be a tax grossing-up connotation.

The 30-day period is aggregate, so looks ahead to the maximum all-inclusively.

Example sentence:

Includes information on exemptions and student loan non-resident amnesty ... volunteer work can only be granted for a maximum aggregate period of 24 months. ...
