Italiano term

da te dovrei solo imparare

Da Italiano a Inglese Altro Generale/Conversazioni/Auguri/Lettere Conversation
This is from a conversation between two characters. Character A expresses her idea about love, Character B strongly disagrees and says something hurtful, before reconsidering, apologising, and saying "Scusami. Da te dovrei solo imparare."

I'm sure the answer is perfectly straightforward, but it's escaping me for now!

Many thanks.

Yes Hi Phil, thanks for your question. Yes it is, modern-day and colloquial.

Is this a colloquial, modern-day conversation? Some of these answers sound a bit formal.

I should learn from you only

Or maybe "I should just learn from you"
Peer comment(s):

disagree Jasmina Towers : I think this implies that they can only learn from this person, not from anyone else

I can only learn from you

I would say that the emphasis in the Italian text is on the "learning"

I have much to learn from you

I know that my proposed translation is different from the source sentence, but imagining the context that you described I felt this sentence more appropriate rather than a literal "I should only learn from you".

agree Jelena Bogdanovic : in this case, considering the context, "I have much to learn from you"

I obviously have a lot to learn from you.

My interpretation.
