From an article about Venetian artist Amedeo Signoretto:
I've found some references to this term, sometimes relating to walls or surfaces (obviously here, mirrors). But I cannot find an English equivalent in any of my reference resources, on or offline.
Could it be "cracked" or something like that? Is this Venetian dialect perhaps? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Selected
tarnished, worn (cracked)
sberciato significa rovinato, logoro, sbeccato
Secondo me, comunque, il tuo "cracked" va benissimo
Ciao
