Boarding a helicopter. Not sure if this means they have to strap themselves in or just grip the handles. Anyone know more about helicopters than me (not difficult)?

not strapping it's about how to enter a helicopter: (a) keep the head down (b) hold on to the handles whilst getting into it (c) sit down as soon as you get in (d) move over to make room for the other person beside you. This all seems very badly written in Italian and is far from clear in explaining what you need to do. I'm sure the English can be much more succinct.

another consideration to be made is that this "gripping" is done while in motion (entering the helicopter)

difference between allacciare/autoassicurarsi usually if it is about "buckling up" the verb "allacciare" is used, whereas here it seems more "holding on to something" before actually sitting down in order to get into the helicopter safely.

pretty verbose as usual. Clearly not about strapping in, since it is talking about getting into the seat. You can't strap in until you are in the seat.
