The impact of lessening bleed extractions during periods of high solar irradiation was comparatively simulated for a 350 MW coal power plant.
The solar add-ons were designed to replace the bleed extractions from the steam turbine for the HP and IP feed water heaters, known as ‘FWH #1’ and ‘FWH #2’ respectively.
In both locations, case A has a higher impact on the overall performance of the plant than case B, since the HP bleed extraction from the turbine has been totally substituted by the solar system.

Spillamento
I would say "spillamento" and not "spillamento d'aria", as we are talking of steam turbine. In steam turbine, a small amount of steam (not air) is sometimes extracted from the the tubine and use for heating purposese

A me sembra che non si tratti di spillamento d'aria; da quando si spilla aria da una turbina a vapore, per i riscaldatori dell'acqua ad alta pressione (HP) e press. intermedia (IP)?
