The phrase 'absent contributory negligence' is tempting, but I don't think it's quite the same thing as here. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 3 hrs (2008-06-15 10:25:03 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- With the corrected version of the French supplied by Asker, it would now be: "unless he can prove that he is not responsible for the harm caused" |
