I gather that modern legal usage (eg the views of Bryan Garner and others) favours the avoidance of latinisms where perfectly accurate English equivalents exist, as in this case, which would make the Latin element appear pompous.

agree Pompeo Lattanzi : A literal translation of "breviter" would be "more shortly", it is a comparative adverb, if you pardon this"show off"of long past latinist culture. I would do as Oliver says, it makes for a more modern language, although English likes Latin in legalese.

I prefer the Latin term for the document, in reflects the original text more that going with "in brief/briefly - detto in breve, ivi in breve"
