The complete title begins with 'Le risorse del Dialogo', so I think it's kind of redundant to include the word 'dialogue' in the translated phrase. This is an Italian literature course, an English-speaking audience attending this kind of course should know something about the topic. Besides, the 'operette morali' are also dialogues, not only essays: 'Operette Morali: Essays and Dialogues, Biblioteca Italiana'.

I see, as Luciano Giusti indicates, that the more modern translations of "Operette Morali" are indeed entitiled "Essays and Dialogues". The first translation into English was entitled simply "Essays". In light of this new information, my translation to the OP would now be fine tuned as:
