"oblate" should be OK for what seems a technical description. Otherwise you could say "flattened at the top and bottom"

agree Christopher McConnell (X) : we may be splitting hairs here but perhaps an oblong fruit would lie on its side while an oblate fruit would lie on its bottom (cf. marrow - pumpkin)
