This is from the data sheet for a surgical drape. In this section, they are talking about the packaging. It says:
Il D.M è contenuto all’interno del Sistema Barriera Sterile (SBS) conforme e validato dal fornitore secondo l’ISO 11607 /2006 parte 1 / 2.
Il sistema SBS ha un’ apertura facilitata del tipo peel-open. Possono essere di:
Tipo A: accoppiato PET/PP trasparente, sigillata con **carta Kraft medicale grigliata** ( 60 gr/mq) impermeabile ai microorganismi e permeabile all’agente sterilizzante.
Tipo B: Quella usata. Accoppiato PET/PE o PET7Al/PE per confezionamento sottovuoto o non. Impermeabilità assoluta ai liquidi e microorganismi. Idonee per la sterilizzazione per irraggiamento.
The "grigliata" part has got me stumped. I've found "medical-grade Kraft paper" on the web, but don't know what this "grigliata" could be.

: Reinforced. "Griglia" is actually a grid of plastics strings embedded in the paper itself to make it much more mechanically resistant than normal paper. One of the reasons/uses is to make any opening absolutely intentional, i.e. no accidental openings.

The word Kraft isn't capitalized and I have a feeling "grigliata" could come from the fact it is by nature porous.
