I have a text about Venetian blinds here. And I cannot make any sense of "facendolo guida" in the following context. Can anybody help me? Much appreciated!

Avvicinare il tendicinghia all’imboccatura del profilo in plastica, facendolo guida in alluminio

Looks like an error in the original.
You could guess, but I'd ask the client what they mean.
