Thomas & Vincent, you're both right. The 'conto' idea a bit puzzling at first, but it's the norm. Here in Italy we like to complicate simple things for nothing, you know... ;)

no worries! for my sins I once worked for a distributor of construction accessories and there was stuff going in and out all the time, conto this and conto that.

conto "conto" is used a lot in delivery notes in Italy, e.g. "conto lavorazione", "conto deposito". It just means "for".
