Oltre al concetto di “animale politico” va riscoperta quella lontana istanza di matrice stoica che concepisce tutti gli uomini, e non soltanto quanti appartengono alla nostra stessa cultura o etnia, come accomunati da quelle caratteristiche fondamentali che consentono di riconoscersi come simili.

Thanks for the feedback. To clarify: for me, 'view' translates istanza. The difference between 'Stoic' and 'matrice stoica' is pretty irrelevant here, I feel

I'd rather use claim for istanza, I think
and yes, "stoica" and "di matrice stoica" are not the same thing: "di matrice stoica" implies not only that the "roots" ("origins") are in stoicism, but also that the "tree" has gone on developing and growing independently from stoicism, along the following historcal times, until today (that is what I tried to render with "long-standing")
