A literal translation would do no justice to the deeper meaning of the original sentence IMHO. This is one possible rephrasing, which I believe will be more "accessible" to English speakers.

This is a breakfast menu meant to be read by a hotel guest (whether actual or potential). That is why I have translated with a rather free hand.
