: I think both of you are mistaken, the 18 000 hits on Google refer to certain things in an agreement which will be registered, but very few refer to registration of agreement. If there is any word used wrongly in English, it would rather be "registration"

Dpr 131/1986, articolo 6
"si ha caso d’uso quando un atto si deposita, per essere acquisito agli atti, presso le cancellerie giudiziarie nell’esplicazione di attività amministrative o presso le amministrazioni dello Stato o degli enti pubblici territoriali e i rispettivi organi di controllo, salvo che il deposito avvenga ai fini dell’adempimento di un’obbligazione delle suddette amministrazioni, enti o organi ovvero sia obbligatorio per legge o regolamento"
