Italiano term

massa operativa

Da Italiano a Inglese Affari/Finanza Finanza (generale)
This appears w/o much context under the heading "DATA DI SINTESI DELLA GESTIONE".
This is a sort of financial statement for a bank.
Under "massa operativa", it says: "No. sport.", which I assume is "numero di sportelli".

massa = volume/turnover operativa = operating and the sportello is the banking branch (UK). Do you go to a branch of your bank in the US? I know a lot of US English, but I'm from the UK.

filiali are big branches and sportelli are small branches, unless there is some indication that they are actually talking about counters and windows which is very unusual in context.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks. We have "branches" in the US, but they have been referring to them as "filiali". "Sportello" might be "counter" or "cash desk"."
