This is an installation manual for a lift/elevator.

No. massimo di fermate = 5
No. massimo di servizi = 10

Given that "fermate" must be stops, i.e. floors, what the heck could servizi be?

Oops, bugger. Sorry, sorry. SLING is ARCATA, that's a different KudoZ! "Servizi" (THIS kudoz) is ENTRANCES SERVED, e.g. a lift might serve 3 floors but on 1 of those floors the doors might open from the back of the lift.

Finally found the answer: it's a SLING. It's the sort of "forklift" that lifts the lift-car up and down.
