aspiration and gas cleaning systems
I would need more context, but based upon the information at hand, I would translate it as an aspiration and gas cleaning system.
If the gas is truely coming out of a flue, then aspiration and flue gas cleaning system.
Gas treatment, depending on the context could also be an option, but it is more specific, including entire processes along with the system involved.(with entire filter plants, etc.) You mentioned the chemical field, so it can be assumed that gasses may just be produced in a chamber or treatment container.
I would personally see the above as a treatment system if it is treating the gases being emmited from the flue of a big plant. Therefore, based upon the context, I think it would be better to stick with the broader term which would apply to large installations as well as smaller units. I hope my explanation helps.
