I have seen a very similar kudoz entry:-
http://www.proz.com/kudoz/1115618
but I'm not sure the context is exactly the same.
This is in relation to high pressure valves.
"Criteri per il dimensionamento degli organi di manovra."
and goes on to describe the criteria for designing such valve parts.
Is "actuator body/parts" too stuffy, or incorrect?

operating mechanisms/parts
Manovra is always difficult to translate since it can mean different things in different contexts.
With valves, I think operating or actuating would be OK and mechanisms/parts/components could do for organi.

actuator
Perfectly good English word which, conveniently, is at least as vague as 'organi di manovra'.
