Bisogna distinguere di che si tratta nella tua frase. Se si tratta di ammontare, somma credo che si stia parlando di Interim Payment Certificate.
Se invece si parla dello stato di avanzamento in termini di lavori, volumi e quant'altro (ma non soldi) allora la mia collega Adriana ha ragione.

Sorry, I run out of characters below at my Peers' comments: the asker is the one in fact to make the difference of what exactly the term is about. If speaking of progress of works, this is the term, but you will never see "The amount of the progress of works" but you will only see "Interim Payment Certificate" or you will often see, for example "the amount of IPC will be paid after the wuantities have been reviewed again....".

: Hi James, a progress report does is either a monthly or any periodic report. It includes progress of works (stato di avanzamneto) but it also includes other elements, such as the Interim Payment Certificate, other analyzes, etc.
