Article about the release of "Casino Royale" in China
I've translated this already, quite literally, but I'm looking for more creative suggestions. Can anyone come to my rescue?

Del resto c’erano grandi aspettative: tutti qui conoscono i film di 007” ma per vie illegali. ‘Casino Royale’ era già comparso sul mercato nero cinese già nel dicembre scorso, probabilmente dalla Russia, ma il suo ingresso autorizzato rappresenta ***una pietra miliare vacillante nella solida muraglia censorea*** innalzata dalla Sarft, l’Ufficio statale per la radio, i film e la tv, che per 45 anni (cioè dalla nascita dell’agente segreto) ha sempre posto il veto alla creatura cinematografica di Ian Fleming.

Hi Nicole,
I don't know what you exactly mean for "creative" but...I'll try.
In my opinion it is important not to change the parallelism between "pietra" miliare and solida "muraglia". They have both a double meaning in this context (a figurative and a more "concrete"one).
Since the source is talking about China I "dared" to use "Great Wall" instead of a simple wall, just to underline the symbolical meaning that can be easily inferred by the Italian pun.
For the same reason I used the two adjectives, unsteady and stable: they remind me better the concept of stone and wall (concrete elements).
But, of course, it is just my opinion!
