I manufatti in relazione alla forma e alle dimensioni, sono trattati in bagni statici o con buratti (bagni rotogalvanici).
I piccoli particolari, come viti e bulloni, che non rischiano di aggrovigliarsi o di essere danneggiati durante un trattamento alla rinfusa possono essere trattati nei buratti. Questi girano nell’elettrolita e la corrente è portata mediante contatti disposti sulle pareti o conduttori collocati nella massa dei manufatti.
Nel bagno statico, i manufatti sono fissati a telai su barre catodiche. Tutte le parti di questi telai non destinate ad assicurare il contatto, sono protette da un rivestimento in materiale plastico.

Barrel plating usualy used for singulated units. Current supplied to the units by means of "fingers"/tangler in the barrel.
Rack plating usualy used for matrix work piece. Workpiece need to be placed in the rack for plating.
Both platings hv similar plating concept, but pysically the plating done differently.
