This Standard, together with the Pressure Vessel Data Sheet and associated standards and specifications, covers the minimum requirements for the mechanical design, materials, fabrication, inspection and testing of fusion welded unfired pressure vessels.

Materials

General

Materials used in the fabrication of pressure containing parts shall conform ASME Section II, Part A.

Certified mill test reports of materials are required for:
- Pressure parts and components directly attached to the pressure parts.
- Load bearing parts such as vessel supporting skirts, saddles, legs or brackets.
