Penso si possa trattare del punto o delle caratteristiche di ebollizione che possono interessare in sede di saldature e attacchi saldati, in pratica per evitare che certi elementi portati a temperature estreme diano luogo a saldature/giunzioni "deboli", in questo caso riferito all'attacco/giunzione realizzato tramite saldatura (od eventualmente, se il contesto lo suggerisse, anche "accessorio per saldatura").
Ad es.:
