... the puzzling question of the bitumen-free and bituminous character of these "blancs" mentioned in the quoted official sources. The cat that is alive and dead at the same time came to mind. It's simply two types of aggregate, one is crushed stones (granulats), the other crushed asphalt (agrégats). I am considering calling them "inert aggregate", unless someone suggests a better term.

The other waste categories they use might help you isolate "blancs de poste", but I feel these two are very closely related.

This is precisely why I did my best to find extra contexts online. The question was posted because this term did not appear in any dictionaries or asphalt production studies I consulted. I am looking for the exact equivalent term, assuming that the asphalt production flows - at least in Europe - are relatively uniform. Even if this is an in-house jargon term, which it may well be, it should relate to an equivalent product.
