Virginie a bien décrypté le sens de la phrase mais si vous souhaitez conserver "dans les cours", on peut y parvenir en reformulant un peu la phrase comme suit:

"(...) si votre option n'est pas dans les cours et qu'elle n'en prend pas le chemin d'après vous."
