The first is hydrogen peroxide, but I can't figure the second one out, and would appreciate any suggestions. There are tons of g-hits for the above expression, but I still can't make heads or tails of it.

Found on google, it appears that in English you can use exactly the same word, here's a sentence from the doc posted as ref below:

I agree that it's obselete as far as use, because the process thought to make it was wrong. But, there's no other way to translate it from Italian. In general, they're known today as 'peroxide salts.'
So, it's a choice of literal translation or substituting with what is technically correct.
