They speak of the Sub-prime crisis I think.
"la responsabilita della crisi e delle banche che si sono riempite di titioli legati ad attività mobiliari che potevano cambiare di valore in breve tempo e in misura sostenziale".
Personal property activities??

They do not say 'immobiliari', they say 'mobiliari'. Le attività mobiliari are another way of saying "transferable assets" in English, a.k.a "transferable securities" as in UCITS.

underlying assets
"responsibility for the crisis lies with the banks which loaded up on securities with underlying assets the value of which could change rapidly and substantially."
"I titoli" referred to were securities like CDOs (collateralised debt obligations) which consisted of portfolios of other underlying securities ("titoli" or "attività mobiliari").
What the banks held were "titoli di titoli" or "securities of securities" and these are generally referred to as "securities with underlying assets."

In other contexts "attività mobiliari" can be just securities or often "stocks and shares".
