Explanation:
"Knee-jerk reactions" is close, but to me it seems a little too reactive, and a little too discontinuous. "Aktionismus" is more of an ongoing state of affairs, no? I don't know what this person did that upset the speaker, but it sounds like it was "impulsive," i.e. done without thinking. And "impulsive" definitely carries a sense of disapproval.

CAUTION: I just googled "impulsive behavior," and the top ten hits all seem to be about children's behavioral problems -- yikes! As a native speaker I can only say that this is not a reflection of the common usage of the word "impulsive" -- though apparently that usage is changing. But my sense is that impulsiveness is normal human behavior, though not necessarily always positive behavior.
