A countinuous BA course is a 4-year course of study directly leading to a BA degree. While a discountinuous course is only 2-year long and in the first stage leads to an assouciate degree, after which the students are to choose to either carry on the course for 2 more years and get their BA, or quit studying and recieve the assouciate degree, only.

Explanation:
These terms refer to educational systems not the degree itself. The degree would simply be BA/BS.

Undergraduate progam in Iran, as in UK US and many other countries, is a 4-year post-secondary educational level. However, the educational system assumes a chance for holders of associate degree to continue their studies to get their BA/BS in a relevant 2-year intermittent undergraduate program. The latter is somehow similar to transfer degree, yet not equivalent.
