Wie würdet Ihr das übersetzen?

Das Basic Speed Law in den USA besagt Folgendes:
you must never drive faster than is safe for the conditions at the present time. Regardless of the posted speed limit indicated on a sign, the actual speed limit is affected by the number and speed of other vehicles, the surface of the road, the distance you can see ahead of your vehicle, bicyclists or pedestrians on the edge of the road and even weather. This means that there is a time when driving the maximum posted speed limit is not safe.

Oder Gesetz zur.... Ich denke, das, was Du oben zitierst entspricht im Grunde den Angaben im Link. Es wäre auch eine Möglichkeit, das Gesetz an sich unübersetzt zu lassen (s. andere Antwort), und diese Übersetzung in Klammern zus etzen.

Explanation:
Ich würde das Gesetz per se unübersetzt lassen und in Klammern kursiv als Erklärung: Gesetz zur Geschwindigkeitskontrolle od. etwas in diesem Stil.

Es ist immer gefährlich Gesetze 1:1 zu übersetzen, da es meist kein genaues Äquivalent in der Zielsprache gibt.
