Da Italiano a Inglese: The most beautiful in the world General field: Arte/Letteratura Detailed field: Poesia e Prosa
Traduzione - Inglese The most beautiful in the world
Once upon a time there was a prince which traveled mountains and oceans looking for the most beautiful in the world. One day he saw an old woman sitting under a bush. Her hair was messy so she was trying to arrange it with her fingers. – Here! Take my comb! Said the prince, while he was giving to her his little golden comb. She combed her hair, made a twist out of it, fixed on the top of her head and let out a gasp of satisfaction. Then, she asks: -Where are you going? -Looking for the most beautiful of the world but I could not find her yet, he answered, -But you have found me and I will be your fortune! -Said the old woman. This is what you have to do. Take this bag of manure. When you will arrive at the river pour the bag into it. Doing so the water will become soil and you will be able to reach the other bank. Then you will find a mountain: you have to spill this bottle of water all over it. The mountain will become a valley and you will be able to cross it. At this point of the journey, you will find a village where wonderful young ladies will come to welcome you with a silk flag…In the last row you will see the most beautiful in the world with a star on her forehead…The rest is up to you. The young prince thanked her, get back on his horse and continued his trip. Everything went exactly as the old woman said. When the prince saw the most beautiful in the world, run together on the back of the horse towards her castle. At the end they married and they lived happily ever after.
