Belgian great-grandmother, German grandparents, German mother, Sicilian father – with this parentage I was granted a knack for languages! Although I was born and raised in Italy, I have been speaking German with my mother and Italian with my father since I was a little girl, thus developing a remarkable sensitivity for both languages, a sensitivity virtually impossible to acquire through studying alone. My special gift and passion for languages have allowed me to easily learn English as well, which I write and speak fluently.

Following in the footsteps of my mother, who graduated in translation at the University of Heidelberg and was a successful translator herself, I decided to attend the Civica Scuola Superiore per Interpreti e Traduttori in Milan. I obtained my qualification in 2001 with a perfect grade of 110/110 and have been working as a freelancer ever since.

Towards the beginning of my career I dealt with many different kinds of texts. However, the more time has passed, the more I have focused on specific fields to which I am better suited. Quite simply, I took my passions and made them my specialties, thus becoming an expert translator of travel & tourism, marketing, cosmetics and gastronomy.

I am currently deepening my knowledge in the cosmetic and culinary field, reading a leading cosmetic magazine and studying natural cosmetics, herbs and officinal plants for the former, investigating nutrition e nutrients and especially focusing on vegetarianism and veganism for the latter. 

My personal journey is also taking me towards practices such as pilates and yoga, books and publications about self love, positive thinking, the law of attraction and other fascinating topics. I would love to translate in these fields as well.
