I was born in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. At school I took English, Ancient Greek, Latin, Dutch, German and French and when I came across the word "polyglot" I decided that was what I was going to be one day. I read Law at the Erasmus University and studied music at the Rotterdams Conservatory.

I always loved reading, languages and traveling. Went to study at the Paris Conservatoire for one year and then moved to London to continue my music studies. Spent the last 18 years traveling the world both for work with various London orchestras as well as for fun in my time off.

While in London studied with the Open University, took mathematics, physics, renewable energy and engineering courses. Interested in a wide variety of subjects and read in English, French, Dutch, German, Italian. For my music work have translated contracts, newspaper articles, biographies, program notes, cd booklets etc. Have done quality reviews in English, transcriptions, brochure translations etc.
