: I agree if they are doing these "attività" for an approval stamp by a regulatory body, ie measurements - but if they mean acceptance by the client, I think it should be "acceptance tests"

do you know if they are doing these "attività" are to gain a stamp of approval from a regulatory body or from the client to go ahead with a project or purchase?
As I mentioned in my comment to Ziad, if they are applying for a stamp of approval from a regulatory body, I agree with Ziad on "approval activities"
if instead, these activities are for client approval, as you say they are commonly referred to as "acceptance tests"
