Italiano term

CEI

Da Italiano a Inglese Medico/Sanitario Medicina (generale) patient medical history
This appears in a patient's discharge summary under ANAMNESI PATOLOGICA REMOTA:

"Non ricorda i CEI. Nega altre patologie."

This doesn't come up again anywhere else in the report.

What does CEI stand for in Italian, and how would we say it in English?

Thank you for your help.

Comuni Esantemi Infantili

This is a usual abbreviation in the anamnesis.

In English it would stand for the "common childhood exanthematic diseases "

neutral Lirka : yes, only I'd use "exanthematous" instead :) See here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9098635
