La galleria di raccordo, sorretta da piastrini bassi che consentono una “trasparenza” di visuale, permette di vivere tutti gli spazi collegati come spazi unitari e mantiene la sua funzione centrale anche nel progetto di trasformazione a destinazione Villaggio Media.

Would "piastrini" be columns in this case?

Given the context I suspect it is a misprint for 'pilastrini', the diminutive plural of pilastro, normally translated a 'pilaster' (a half column attached to the wall). Can you find a picture of the building to verify this?

Searching for \"galleria di raccordo\" on the web I found what is almost certainly the site you are translating. It includes photos which show that it is \"columns\", probably \"thin columns\" in this case, though an unusual word for them. See
