Hi again folks
While I sift through your generous answers on the subject of bottles, I would like to trouble you for an opinion on the meaning of "paste" in this context:
"Selezione ricca e accurata di salumi nazionali, formaggi anche esteri, interessanti paste secche."
also (for example)
"Prodotti tipici del territorio con particolare attenzione a specialita' al proescco o al radiccio rosso (sottovetro, creme, paste, ecc.), ..."
The word appears several times in this food translation and I sometimes think it means "pasta(s)" and at other times I am sure it means "pastries". Can anyone shed any light here? Although I enjoy my food greatly, my skills are restricted to eating rather than describing.

Pastes Thanks for your proposal Laura. Unfortunately later in the text I have "La specialita' sono le paste fresche, anche al uovo e ripiene, lavorate a mano e paste al forno...". The Italian sounds a little odd, but surely these "paste" are "pastas" rather than "pastes"?

Hi Derek, you got it right..it's PASTA(in italy there are "paste fresche" fresh pasta and "paste secche" dry pasta which are the common pasta you buy in boxes and are dry

It's thicker than a cream. It's a general term though. It can be made of vegetables, meat etc.

Careful here. The distinction is between dry pasta (maccheroni, spaghetti, ecc.) and fresh pasta (tagliolini, lasagne).
Judging also by the line of products this company sells, I would venture to say that they do not deal in pastries.
