Hi All, This may have been answered before, but I cannot find the posting. I am using Trados 7.0.0.615 and need to export a translation memory to a 6.0 user. This is normally not a problem. Are you sure the problem lies with the export? I would imagine that the 6.0 user importing your file is leaving the "New fields" option set to its default ("Ignore"). If they change this to "Add to setup", any custom fields should be imported with their corresponding source and target segments. HTH, Benjamin

[Edited at 2006-08-28 14:32] Hi Benjamin, Thanks so much for your suggestion. No, I doubt that very much. I should have mentioned that the text file (the export file) contains none of the fields I created. Best, Christian | | |

Christian save the project and the filter settings (see the options in the dialog windows in menu Project and filter settings) and send it with the files. He has to open each of then direct from the settings menu (register ->Project and register -> filter).
