I am a new Trados 7 Freelance user and an agency requested both cleaned up and non cleaned up files. The problem is that for some to unknown reason the program cleans up automatically the file in Word each time I click set-Close/get-Next button. So, I have only the file in the target language. What should I do? I belive there is some setting to make me do by myself the clean up at the end of the translation. Thank you very much,

No automatic cleanup

Hi Nicoletta,
I am a new Trados 7 Freelance user and an agency requested both cleaned up and non cleaned up files. The problem is that for some to unknown reason the program cleans up automatically the file in Word each time I click set-Close/get-Next button. So, I have only the file in the target language.
I don't think so. What you need to do is to set MS Word to display hidden text. During the translation process, the document contains both source and target, with the source text formatted as hidden text (note that this is a normal Word function).
The issue of hidden text display has been discussed on several occasions in this forum - may I suggest you use the forum search function?
Best regards, Ralf
