大家好，想请教一下各位：在收到PDF文件的时候，大家是用什么软件来数source document的字数？还有，有时候客户发过来PDF文本的报纸文章要求翻译，对于这些文章，有什么好办法能够快速知道文章的字数吗？谢谢大家！

我是这么干的：将PDF另存为TIFF图片，用OCR软件识别成纯文本文档，然后用word就可以计数了。祝你好运！

崩客气，我也乐意将这点经验拿来和大家一起分享。有些翻译公司也还不知怎么对PDF计字数，每次都要我来帮他们处理，我还可以收取一定处理费呢！:D比较好的识别软件是“尚书七号”，网上找款免费的或试用版就可以搞定。

如果是英译中，我推荐使用 Abbyy FineReader，内嵌 OCR，可直接将 PDF 转换为 word 格式。

我一般都用ScanSoft OmniPage，Abbyy FineReader以前也用过，但是不知道为什么感觉这个软件界面闪烁的很厉害，眼睛受不了。
